Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin is a native of Beirut. The Arabic word meaning "hope" is'ml. Her age was two when her family moved to Buckinghamshire from Lebanon in the Lebanese Civil War. (10) Her father Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze of the Alam al-Din dynasty village located in Baakline in the Chouf Districtand received an MBA degree at the American University of Beirut. In 1991, he returned Lebanon in 1991[12][13] after the conclusion of the civil conflict. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She worked as a foreign editor and political journalist for the Saudi-run al-Hayat journal. 16. She is the co-founder of the public relations company International Communication Experts, which is part of a larger firm that specializes in booking celebrity guests, publicity photography, and the promotion of events. (17) Amal is the youngest of three children including one sibling (Tala) in addition to two half-brothers from her father's first marriage. Amal studied at Dr Challoner's high school in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire before going to university. She then attended St Hugh's College at Oxford and, among others was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition grant. The graduate received the bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in jurisprudence in 2000. (citation required) The next year she entered New York University School of Law to pursue that Master of Laws (LL.M) degree. She was awarded the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award to recognize excellence in entertainment law.While at NYU she interned for a term in the office of Sonia Sotomayor, then a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and NYU Law faculty participant.
