
Elizabeth Chase Olsen (born February 16, 1989) is an American actress. Born in Sherman Oaks, California, Olsen started acting at the age of four. In the year 2011, Olsen played in Martha Marcy May Marlene, her debut film role. Her film was critically acclaimed for the role and nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Awards. Silent House was her next film role. Olsen was awarded an BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination and graduated from New York University two years later. Olsen was a global star for her performance as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media series. The character was featured in the superhero films Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Captain America: Civil War (2016). Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Avengers: Endgame (2019). Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award as well as winning a Golden Globe Award for her performance in WandaVision. She co-produced and played in the drama Sorry for Your Loss (2018-2019), receiving a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination for her performance as a widow.
